Run the whole supply chain across multiple quarters.

Student teams run a supply chain company, making forecasting, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution decisions each quarter. Competing teams make their own moves in the same market, and every decision shows up in the next quarter's financial and operating results. Six AI advisors help teams think each decision through, and the final call stays with the team.

Students run the operation and see the results in the financials.

Students meet the core ideas of operations, like the bullwhip effect, economic order quantity, safety stock, and service level trade-offs, as the results of their own decisions. The bullwhip effect shows up in their forecasting error and inventory turns. Safety stock is a decision they make, and it shapes their fill rate three quarters later.

Teams compete in the same market. Their forecasting, procurement, and manufacturing decisions each quarter add up to full financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow) that teams have to interpret and defend.

Students finish having seen what happens when an inventory decision is wrong, a supplier falls through, or a forecast misses demand in a quarter they can't get back.

Consequences that carry forward.

Full financial statements.

Every operating decision lands in financial statements students have to read and interpret. Bad forecasting shows up as inventory carrying cost. Weak supplier choices show up as quality claims. Overbuilt capacity shows up as fixed costs that stay put when demand drops. Students learn to read financials the way a COO does.

Competitors in the same market.

Multiple teams compete for the same customers. A team's own decisions shape its results, and its competitors' decisions shape the market it operates in. Reading what the market and competitors are doing is part of what the simulation teaches.

AI advisors on every decision.

Six AI advisors, in roles suited to the simulation, help teams think through each quarter's decisions. They ask what a plan rests on and point out gaps, and the team makes the final call.

Every quarter, teams make decisions across the whole chain.

The core decisions below come up every quarter. Advanced modules add more decisions for programs that want to go deeper into operations.

Demand & Forecasting
What will the market do?
Teams forecast demand across product lines and regions. Forecast accuracy carries into inventory, capacity use, and cash over time.
Procurement & Sourcing
Who supplies the operation?
Teams choose suppliers on cost, quality, lead time, and risk. Contracts signed early become constraints later, and emergency buying is expensive and slow.
Manufacturing & Capacity
How much can the plant deliver?
Teams set production levels, shifts, and capacity expansion. Fixed costs stay put when demand drops, so the capacity a team commits to in one quarter sets its costs in the next.
Distribution & Logistics
How does product reach customers?
Teams design the distribution network and choose transportation modes and warehouse space. They see the cost of every service level they promise.
Price & Positioning
What does the market pay?
Teams set prices across product lines and regions. Price changes carry their own costs, competitors respond, and customers have other options.
Financial & Cash
Is the company solvent?
Teams manage cash, the credit facility, and dividends. The statements limit what a team can do next, and a team that runs out of cash faces the same choices a real company does.

Faculty control the format. Students control the outcomes.

Format

Multiple quarters of decisions.

Teams make decisions each quarter across every decision area. Faculty set the number of rounds to fit the course length. Every quarter produces updated financials, scorecards, and market feedback that teams interpret before the next decisions are due.

Scoring

Balanced scorecard across the whole operation.

Teams are scored on financial, operational, and customer results together, which rewards running the whole operation well. A team can't win by pushing one number at the expense of the rest.
